Gerida Montague Awarded MBE

Our Executive Headteacher Gerida Montague was made an MBE for her services to education through her work with our partnership of settings and in education more widely across the country.

The partnership credits Gerida with having spent her life transforming education for children within her care, aged from three months to 11 years old.

Specialising in working with schools in challenging circumstances, Gerida has transformed them from failing to flourishing.

Gerida has served as an associate HMI (His Majesty’s Inspectors), Ofsted inspector, and was a Fellow of The National College.

She currently serves as a member of the Department for Education primary heads reference group and is a TRA (Teaching Regulation Agency) panel member.

Gerida said: "It is an incredible honour to be made a Member of the British Empire for services to education – an area which truly influences the life chances of all.

“Whilst I am accepting this award as an individual, my work would not be possible, or as successful without the support of my family and our partnership’s incredibly dedicated team, from my executive board, school leaders, to teachers, governors, support staff, and everyone else who plays such an integral role in the phenomenal provision our partnership offers our pupils and their families.

“We truly believe in our mission to change the world by holistically educating ‘architects of a better world’.”
